At what point should you go to the ER?

For extreme morning sickness/all day sickness. I’ve hardly kept any fluids down since Tuesday and very little food. My pregnancy Medicaid hasn’t kicked in yet so we really can’t afford it but I don’t want to end up so dehydrated that something bad happens to me or the baby.

No fluids is a much bigger deal than no food. ER soon would be a good idea.

I was really sick for a while too but honestly, I would try unisom and b6 (with doctor approval) before going to the ER and switch to gummy vitamins. The ERs are all backed up with flu patients and you definitely don’t want to catch that because you will be limited to what you can take for it. I hope you begin feeling better soon. I lived on soup and the vitamin water lemonade flavor because it has b6 and it helped a lot.

If you go to the e.r. and have been approved for Medicaid but don't have the cards yet they will cover it

I was diagnosed with hyperemesis and have had to go to the ER for dehydration. if you aren't producing urine and can't keep fluids down go in. It's dangerous to be dehydrated and can result in harm to your baby. if you really can't go try popsicles....they have saved me!

You're supposed to be covered for 30 days once you apply, my daughter was. Call the Medicaid line for more specific information. Meanwhile I'd highly suggest ER for fluids. The dehydration is a bigger issue then the food. That's what my daughters Dr told her anyway.
