should i go vegan???

I'm 13 and my sister has already gone vegan I don't know if it would be healthy for me because of low protein and my mom said she doesn't really want me to but is ok with it .  Any opinions ???

Like the other person said you only need a b12 supplement.  Vitamin B12 is the only vitamin you can’t get from a plant based diet but everything else you can get naturally.  For protein peanut butter, houmous, nuts (I like almonds), beans are all good options, plus you can get so many soya versions of things from the supermarkets. Maybe just make some gradual changes to your diet and see how you go?

It’s an absolute misconception that we need lots of protein. A human mothers breast milk is actually very low in protein because humans don’t need a lot. You can easily get enough protein (around 46g for the average woman) from eating chickpeas, hemp seeds, lentils, spinach etc...

I personally think dairy it crueler and more unhealthy than any type of animal product.  Their continually made pregnant but have their calves taken away from them as soon as they’re born so they do t take any of their milk because the farmers can make money out of that.  The mummy cow and calf cry and call out for each other it’s heartbreaking then they are taken to have the milk that was meant for their babies drained out of them over and over often suffering painful infections and being pimped full of antibiotics (which consumers end up drinking) once their milk dries up they get them pregnant again.  This keeps happening until they are too emotionally and physically ruined they are made in to beef.  Dairy is also very unhealthy and in natural for humans to drink.  It contains a natural growth hormone (to make calves in to big cows) which causes excessive mucus, worsen hay fever and breathing problems, makes acne and eczema worse, can cause fibroids and tumour growth.  The research that is done that tells us we need to drink cows milk everyday even when we’re adults to have strong bones is paid for by dairy companies, the many negative effects of dairy on humans is left out of the information given to the public.  Farming cows (and sheep) creates the most carbon emissions of all foods so by not eating cows, sheep and dairy you would also be helping the environment.

That’s strange that your protein levels are low, do you not eat often? Most non vegans get TOO much protein and experience liver issues. But yes you should go vegan! Go to the YouTube channel Caitlin Shoemaker, she has a ton of cheap and easy vegan recipes. Buy legumes and a b12 supplement(that comes from bacteria we would get from the ground if we lived like the other animals around us, omnivores get it from the supplements given to the animals they eat)

If you want to go for it. I wish I stayed vegan in my teens but I had no support from my parents. Now I can make all my own food and there are so many more optiond in grocery stores

I think you should go vegetarian, but if your parents are the ones that cook your meals then asking them to cook separate vegan meals for you when they’re not happy to is a bit unfair. 
Maybe see if they’d make you vegetarian meals and be interested in cooking one vegan meal per night or something? So you heavily reduce your animal product consumption but don’t cut it out altogether?
