Is this eczema???

Eczema or something else? It’s rough and I imagine it’s very itchy, whenever I change him he grabs at his stomach. He actually scratched himself before this picture. He has this on his face too. I use coconut oil on it everyday and cetaphil restoraderm too. Nothing works. It’s been there for so long but it’s never been this bad. (excuse his drool and wet diaper)

This looks like how my daughters eczema flares up. We completely switched her to Era Organics products & the Honest company. This has helped a lot. As well as the Aquafor advanced therapy healing ointment. We use the aquafor on her flare ups. 
She gets a bath once a week unless needed with only warm water. No longer than 10 minutes and we don’t let her sit in the soapy water. When she is having a bath for skin calming reasons, I use oatmeal, jojoba oil, and shea butter in her bath. Or I will just use butterball from Lush Cosmetics. 
All this helps a lot. She does have an egg allergy so her eczema was exasperated from that as well. We also are super mindful of her clothes. Carter’s seem to irritate her and cause more flare ups. Not super sure why. We have a lot of luck with Old Navy, and June & January.

Stick to cotton clothing and pjs. Most baby pjs are made with polyester which makes eczema worse.

what kinda soap are you using? my little has bad dry skin. she was getting like dry skin welts, I took her to the doc and he said Johnson's is really bad for skin. it drys the skin out more  and to use Aveeno soap and lotion. he also said don't bathe her everyday. every two days is fine. 
but you really should take your little to th doc to make sure that's what it is. we aren't doctors and it's better to be on the safe side.

It might be eczema, but it also looks a little like a heat rash. I’d ask the doctor. If it is eczema just get a really good lotion and sensitive wash. It sounds strange but giving my daughter a bath daily was the only thing that got rid of it. Not always with soap, but just to rinse off and then lots of eczema lotion. Also the honest company healing balm is a LIFESAVER! Gets rid diaper rash and skin problems soooo fast!

I agree it looks like eczema. Sometimes can be food related, so something to consider. But for my little guy, just straight, cheap Vaseline works just as well as anything else. I use it instead of lotion, limits baths to 2-3 per week and keep them short and use Vaseline in his skin every night. I only use ALL brand detergent and Dove baby products. His has cleared. Bad flairs you can try hydrocortisone...and sometimes you just have to try different things (unfortunately). Hope this information helps. Good luck! Or you doctor might have some additional directions.

Looks like eczema to me. I have it and coconut oil/cocoa butter actually tends to make mine flare up. I remember taking loads of oatmeal baths as a kid and using hypoallergenic unscented soap and lotion. Now I just make sure not to itch as that makes it a lot worse, and keep it hydrated with mild lotion.

My son has eczema and is taking and oral  medicine and  a skin cream medicine. Use Dove soap for his skin and also use Eucerin lotion at least twice a day for his skin

What did the pediatrician say about it? 
I think it looks like eczema. In which case get a baby lotion called Mustela Stelatopia.

Put some hydrocortisone on it, should clear it up in a few days
