Breastfeeding Tips?

I was only able to nurse my first son for about 3 weeks because I didn’t produce enough. I’d like to exclusively breastfeed my next little one. Does anyone have any suggestions for me? What is the best breast pump?

first off, TRUST YOUR BODY! in the beginning baby's only need colustrum til your milk comes in. their tummies are so small. up counting wet diapers is hoe you know your LO is getting enough the first week a good rule go follow is baby needs to make as many as they are old, so day 1, 1 pee/poo etc. till day 6 then 6-8 pee diapers a day. if your baby is making their pee diapers and steadily gaining weight then they're getting enough milk! it's normal for baby's to lose up to 10% of thei! r birth weight in the hospital. whether formula or breast fed. babies will gain that back withing the next 2-3 weeks. my LO was 8 lb 3 oz when born and was 7 lb 3 oz when we left. he got up to 7 lb 13 oz by week 2, has a ton of wet diapers, so I know he's getting enough. he's growing like a chunk! find a pediatrician that supports and is knowledagbel about BFing. many push formula and don't take the time to support BFing mamas. if you're on FB join a support group such as milky mamas. go to the website kellymom.com and read all the articles you can! try not to supplement at first, I feel.like so many mom's think they aren't producing enough and supplement with formula and it kills their supply. like I said trust your body. watch feep.latch technique videos on YouTube. use the lactation consultation at the hospital to help you and baby get a good latch. remember that baby is learning just like you are!! good luck mama!! I can’t speak to the BEST, but I love my Spectra S1. My first one was an Ameda Purely Yours and honestly it was a torture device!! :(
