Visitation

Hey all! I separated from my husband about 3 1/2 weeks ago due to ongoing domestic violence. We have 7 month old twin girls who are with me. He keeps asking to see them and video chat. Video chat is fine but he can't just video chat, he has to discuss our problems as well which I don't want to. I don't want visitation without something from the courts just in case he or his family keeps the girls (out of spite) from me which they can legally do until a court order is issued. I feel bad from keeping them from him but what am i supposed to do?
