Miscarried 6 weeks, no sac or baby. When to ttc?

I miscarried at 6 weeks on Feb 1st. I only bled for 2 days and had 2 clots released. I’m not sure if all pregnancy contents have emptied since it was only 2 days? Must I add, my pregnancy had very low hcg from the start. At 6 weeks, it was only at 1160. Ultrasounds did not detect a baby or even a sac, it was absolutely empty. So I think that nothing really formed within the 6 weeks.

Anyway, I really want to try to conceive as soon as possible but my doctor told me to wait for 1-2 period cycles, to give the uterus time to recover and the lining to thicken because the bleeding thins out the uterus lining.

Any thoughts on my situation? Or similar stories? I’d love to hear about yours. Thanks
