What to Expect?

Hey girls! 
I’ve been on birth control (Mononessa) for a week now. & I’m just wondering what to expect? When will I experience side effects? Anything I should know and all the good stuff.. 
Also, how well do you like your birth control? Did you have to keep switching? Or got it right on the first try?

Answer

Based solely on my experience, I would say to expect your side effects to start in the next week or two. That's typically when my body starts to really struggle, at least. They tend to calm down by about week six for me. People are different though. Remember that generally it takes three months for your body to fully adjust.
The first pill I tried was a decent enough match for me, but after six or seven years on it I found it wasn't working as well for me as it used to. I attribute that to the differences in my body from 13 to 19/20. After nine years I had Nexplanon put in, and so far so good.
