When did you try again after a loss?

I was a first time mom to be and we lost our son at almost 22 weeks on Feb 1. My husband is ready to try again whenever I am. He has been great at supporting and not pressuring me. How soon did any of you try again after losing a baby and did it help you heal?

Sorry for your loss. I would personally await 6 weeks just for your body to settle down and heal. Habe your first period return and then try again if your ready to do so. This is what we did. Trying again imediately can cause more harm then good to you. Hope your go on to try again. I lost my girl at 2 hours old, her twin brother at 11wks old, a boy at 23wks 5 days old. Multiple misscarriages as well. Was told by genetic results the was one in a billion chance of me having a healthy baby as i had a rare condition. I fell pregnant and got results after id found out i was pregnant. Was told to abort but i decided to leave it in gods hands. My son has just turnt 13months old and fully healthy. Never give up hope and on the dark gloomy days just remind yourself how strong you are and you will be blessed a healthy little one soon. God bless best wishes

everyone at my job keeps asking me if me and my boyfriend are going to try again..we just lost our daughter at 21 weeks 6 days on January 16,2018..im like IDK if we ever will.

I lost my twin boys at 19w5d on June 12 2017. I remember when we got home from the hospital, we sat on the couch in silence. Eventually my husband asked “when do you want to try again?” We both agreed on right away as we knew now more than ever that we wanted a baby. We didn’t know how to deal with the guilt moving forwards so we spoke to a social worker and she explained that we hadn’t just lost our babies but we had lost all our future plans. It helped us move forwards. I ended up getting a DVT in my groin which put me on blood thinners for 6 months. Just started TTC again this weekend.
I’m so sorry for your loss. Its horrible but it does get easier. There are still times that I break down now and it’s 8 months later. I think that will always happen and that’s ok. Take the time you need to heal. Wishing you the best of luck.

I am 36 weeks after losing a son at 16 weeks September 2016. It took us 10 months to get pregnant again even though we started trying right away. It will take time and even though getting pregnant again won’t fix it, you will def feel better

My husband and I starting trying 4 months after our miscarriage and got pregnant right away. I don’t think the process of trying healed me, nor do I think getting pregnant healed me. There is a bundle of emotions when you find out you’re pregnant again. You’re overjoyed, and terrified at the same time. Start trying again when it feels right. I know right away it feels like it will never get better and you’re heart broken, but with time it does get better. So sorry for your loss. Miscarriages are so painful, and I pray that you find peace.

7 months after. ours was a c section though so I kind of had to wait. I was supposed to wait 1 year! I couldn't wait to start. its the only thing I could think of to pull me out of depression and give me hope.

We started right away, it did help me heal. It took a year to successfully conceive with 2 miscarriages in between.

We lost our son on 12/31/17..I  as 24 weeks..so sorry for your loss!! The pain is unreal it’s been over a month and today I still had a breakdown just seeing something that reminded me of that day! I can’t wait to try again either! My midwife said to wait till I have 3 reg cycles then try! Praying for a rainbow baby🌈👶🏻 I will never forget our precious baby boy tho! 👼🏻💙 good luck

Thanks ladies... I feel guilty for thinking of when to try again so soon being that we just lost him. I didn’t know if we started trying in 2-3 months and I got pregnant would it make me feel better or worse.
