Is it Safe to have sex being High Risk?

Alright. I know it’s okay to have sex during pregnancy, however, I’ve had 3 miscarriages before this pregnant and currently 11w3d and haven’t had sex since finding out I was pregnant...over 2 months ago. My family doc told me best rest, pelvic rest etc (being high risk). Then when I went to my first OB appointment at 10w1d I forgot to ask if I was now off bed rest/pelvic rest. I don’t see my OB til week 18 and really trying to figure out what is save or not. I have never had any spotting or cramping with this pregnancy so far.

If you are on bed rest and doctor hasnt cleared you, I would avoid sex and stick with his last instructions. Better to be safe then do what you want and have something happen and then feel guilty about it. Its only 8 weeks, which does suck but its better than harming baby.

Did your OB say you were high risk also? I'm just confused why you'd go 8 weeks between apts, I'm low risk and still see my OB Every 4 weeks. I would still wait till the next apt if you can't ask sooner though

I was on rest with my last baby. It's super important to wait until your doctor takes you off!! I too had a m/c history.
