a friend of mine is in an abusive marriage with 4 children. She is without income...how does she get away!?

Her best option is the call the domestic violence center in her area. Or the national domestic violence hotline the will give her some options base on her 1-800-799-7233  needs. Leaving immediately is not always the best option especially when they have kids in common and in her case no income. Speaking as a domestic violence advocate As a friend just be there for her and support her it is not easy to leave.

it's hard so you have to secretly document every time. in some.states verbal.is the same as physical, harder to prove though.

there are domestic violence shelters...look some up for her and try to find one with room. This happened to me and I stayed in the shelter for 3 months. They help you. She needs to get a PPO immediately after she leaves.
