Do herps come and go?

I was wondering if u have herps and it goes away can it just reappear? My school isnt really teaching us about stds hiv and etc.. they basically just tell us to be safe. Now I’m coming on here to ask about it and can hiv stds and y’all etc come and go as it want too?

herpes stays with you and causes periodic outbreaks. that means you will get sores that pop up from time to time. there are 2 kinds of herpes. hsv1 which is cold sores or fever blister and are generally on the lip and hsv2 which is genital herpes.

Yesss it's very possible for herpes to reappear because I'm pretty sure once you have it, your stuck with it. It'll always be apart of you now but I don't think it would be normal to have constant sores popping up. Maybe every once in a while but I'm not 100% sure. Good luck :)

with herpes you have outbreaks. so you always have it, but you don't always have the open sores.

Some STDs are treatable and will go away with medication, but others are lifelong and medication will not cure them. Genital herpes cannot be cured, but you won’t always have an outbreak. Some people get outbreaks more than others (a few times a year) but everyone is different. There are meds that can help ease the pain of an outbreak but you’ll always have it. I hope that helps!

Herpes can be treated. It does not come and go. Once you contract it, you have it for life. The outbursts may come and go with treatment but you still have herpes. Some can be treated and get rid of, but others can’t.
