Facebook Baby Shower

My wonderful SIL wanted to throw me a “long distance” baby shower or a “shower by mail” as some people know it. My hubs and I live in California, and both of our families all live in Wisconsin. Paper invites were expensive and a bit impersonal when you’re basically just asking people to send gifts (WHICH family and friends have been asking for months now where we’re registered and for our address or if I’m flying out for a shower-so it truly wasn’t a plan of mine as some gift hungry pregnant lady).

SO, my SIL and I have decided to create a FB event so we can interact now until baby is born!! Every few days she’ll share baby photos of my husband and I, and I thought to create a poll for birth wt/length predictions.

My question to all you ladies is: what are some other ways to interact with “guests?” Games? Polls? Posts? Have you ever been to or hosted a virtual/Facebook event like this? Did you enjoy it? Any suggestions? Advice?
