How did you know when you were done?

Did the number change after a baby or two?
My second (I have a 5 yr old girl and 1 yr of boy) was so so so hard as a baby. He was not only colicky but just a TERRIBLE sleeper and napper. I didn’t get over 30 min naps from him until 9 months old and he JUST started STTN at 13 months.
I’m not ready to say I’m done but at the same time I’m SO done lol I just don’t know if I have it in me to do another difficult baby!!!! And I want to give my all to the two I have.
Does the number of babies you have, have anything to do with how difficult one of your babies was? 
Just curious 🤗🤗👶🏻   ....It’s a hard decision for me! I feel like so many people know exactly what they want, but I don’t.. I’m sort of torn!

I have always wanted three but now that I have two I think I might be done. I literally threw up every day the whole 9 months with both which is the main factor in not wanting to go through that again. I was miserable. I also had a rough recovery with my second because I ended up with a bad infection in my uterus and had to go to the ER because of the severe bleeding. Two is also a lot of work and I enjoy getting sleep. But I absolutely love babies so maybe I'll change my mind. Here's my girls!

I would love 3. We have a 2yr old and a 10 month old(they are 16 months apart) but we are comfortable financially but we would be strapped if we have a 3rd. I’m not of the mind set(like many of my co-workers) that “god” will provide. Plus my 2 babies are perfect and happy with the way their life is so I don’t want to shake that up either.

I have a 4 year old and a 2 month old...I only wanted two kids, however, now I am already wanting a third. 😅 I think three would be the best for us. However we are waiting at least 2 years to start trying. Thankfully my second has been pretty easy, my eldest was more stressful with colic/reflux, terrible sleeper etc...I think if I had that experience both times I would have just stuck with two!

I’m really torn too. I have a 16 month old and another one due in 4 months. I’m a stay at home mom and my husband and I both really want four kids. But two things really make me feel torn. 1.... I don’t LOVE being a stay at home mom. I love that I get to raise my children and I’m not missing anything. But I really want to start my career of teaching high school history and I won’t do that until our youngest is in school. So I have to add 5 years on top of the time we actually have our last child. I will not have 3-4 kids back to back. No way. Which brings me to number 2. I have sleeping issues. It’s bad. I can’t function without sleep. It physically REALLY hurts. My vision gets blurry (yay for amazon fresh so I don’t have to drive for toilet paper and food), my head becomes heavy and excruciatingly painful, and I am extremely out of it. My first was a phenomenal sleeper so I had a month of being a zombie in pain and then was able to get enough sleep to function. But I don’t know how this little one will be. I’m going to have two boys under two. Already not being able to nap with this pregnancy has caused issues. I physically don’t think I can do more children if I can’t even drive while tired. But my husband and I DO want a large family. So I’m just so so torn. I guess we’ll see how this baby goes and I’m going to see a specialist about the sleep issues. My head shouldn’t hurt as bad as it does every time I wake up and my vision shouldn’t keep blurring through out the day.

I was torn like you. I have two and my first was in the terrible twos when my 2nd was born. I was a single mom and had a really hard time. Thy are now 4 & 6. SO and I have gone back and forth about a third (his first bio kid). My daughter is in the fearsome fours and makes every. single. day a challenge. Despite that, we decided to try for a 3rd. I just don’t feel like our family is complete and SO basically agrees with me on this kind of stuff. Most people never regret having a child, but you will regret not 🤷🏼‍♀️

i have a 19 yr old and a 21 yr old.   i was done. they were good babies, good kids, good teenagers....   i just didnt want anymore.  i had them young and just had no desire to go through pregnancy and babyhood/toddlerhood ever again.                                    untillllllllll........ i met my husband.  he didnt have any kids and wanted to be a dad.  sooooo..here i am 39 years old and 35 weeks pregnant and couldnt be happier.   as life changes, desires change.    i just always tell people to never say never.  because no one knows how they will feel 10 years from now. 😆😆😆😆

As a FTM and 1st time pregnancy I had twins. The pregnancy was not great and they were born preterm. Thankfully they are healthy (and amazing lil divas). We decided we were done, and there's no going back.

I wanted 3 kids, it's always been a dream of mine, but SO refuses. He doesn't want to be "out numbered" or to have to modify our lives so much (like getting a new car). So just 2 for us.
