Other possible sleeping arrangements?

My LO is 8.5 months. We just had to remove the basinette insert in the pack and play due to weight limits. The pack and play is now causing us problems because LO wakes up when being set way down at the bottom of the pack and play.

What are my other sleeping arrangement options?

We don't want to buy a crib at 8 months old because we don't feel we'd get enough use out of it at this point and LO is too big for a basinette now. My original plan for after the pack and play was a twin bed with removable rails on it. But I'm pretty sure that doesn't meet safe sleep criteria since LO is only 8 months and not a year yet.

Anyone have any thoughts on possibilities?
