So I’ve been on the methadone maintenance program my whole pregnancy and only made the decision to move my dosage up towards the end and am now at 110 mg a day. I’m due in just three short weeks and am SO SCARED of seeing her detox! I’ve been told it’s all a toss up that she can have no detox at all and that she can detox very badly but it has nothing to do with the amount that I’m on?! I’ve carried guilt and shame my whole pregnancy regarding this topic but know that it was the best decision for both my baby and I. It’s better than being a heroin junkie right?!? Does anyone have any advice or tips/encouragement for this about to be first time mama? Please let me know!!! I’m just praying everyday she can get through the ruff part and that I can take her home after hopefully no more than one week!!! Please ladies keep it positive!
