This is a sometime thing. When I give my boyfriend head, I get cold sores. He swears up and down jay he doesn't mess with anyone else and he always is showering.. so why am I getting cold sore on my lip? So embarrassing

Sounds like he has herpes or isn’t washing himself properly 🤢 does he have a foreskin!?? It’s weird but I had a boyf that wouldn’t wash himself properly. So gross. Got a cold sore and now it comes back every now and again. Thank god my current boyfriend doesn’t have one so I don’t need to worry about it 😌😌

Get tested. Seriously. It may not be herpes but sometimes people, especially (but not exclusively) men, who have the virus but do not get any symptoms. Just because he doesn’t have sores does not mean he doesn’t have herpes.

Listen, even if he’s washing properly and doesn’t have anything alarmingly (like Herpes) - there’s a big chance that there’re bacteria in his urethra. Many men have bacteria there and for them it’s no big deal, they don’t have any symptoms. But if you two don’t protect with a condom those bacteria may get into you. In this case you get a cold sore maybe because your immune system’s down. Others will get a cystitis when they have unprotected sex. 
You should take him to your gynaecologist and there they should do a smear test of his urethra.
