Why is my hair so greasy?!?

Any suggestions on how to make my hair not look so greasy after one day of showering?? I have changed my shampoo and conditioner multiple times, and I have made sure that it is all washed out (due to not doing so when I was 10 years old) its still greasy 24 hours after I shower.

So the issue with a lot of people who have overly greasy hair is. 1.) your hair is *probably* fine so it shows more than people who have thicker stranded hair and 2.) you've been over shampooing /washing/and washing with hot water. When you do those things it actually increases the amount of oils your scalp produces. Rather than switching shampoos to cover up the problem you should attack the problem at its source. What you'll need to do is kind of gross but hopefully it will help in the long run! If you want to follow this step program that someone else recommended to me when I asked about greasy hair on this app. It helped a good bit but I didn't stick with it as long as I needed to so I'm going to do it again soon. Day 1.) regular shampoo and make sure it's with lukewarm or cold water and only condition the ends of your hair (from the bottom of your ears down)  day 2.) only use dry shampoo - I use "Not Your Mother's" scented dry shampoo and it is a miracle worker. Day 3.) only dry shampoo again. Day 4.) wash with apple cider vinegar - that's like a hair treatment and won't make your hair look clean and dry shampoo. Day 5.) repeat cycle. you do this until you start seeing less oils and are satisfied with the amount of times you have to wash your hair.  It can take weeks and weeks to retrain your hair.

You're washing your hair too often. Your hair is being stripped of natural oils it needs so it's producing more than it needs to in order to compensate. It will take time for your scalp to adjust, but stop washing it every day. My hair was the same way and I started washing every other day and its gotten much less greasy. Now I honestly only wash it twice a week. Until then, dry shampoo or powder is your buddy.

Try powder to absorb the grease? Like I think I’ve heard of baby powder being used     
Also idk if u do much do not wash ur hair everyday! Ik it’s greasy after a day but if u her have a vacation or a long weekend or something, try to go 3-4 days without washing it and eventually ur hair will start to get used to that routine. If u don’t have any vacations soon, wear a hat, ur hair in a bun with a headband or a ponytail with a head band to cover the grease. This works for me so hopefully it will for u too!
