Vaginal boil!?

So. I need some help.

Every few months while I’m on my period, my pad rubs me the wrong way apparently. Because almost every month or so I end up having this big boil looking thing on the side of my vagina! Normally I’ll wait a few days and I’ll be able to pop it. This time, it won’t pop! I took a needle to it (I know. Horrible. But I’ve always alocholed it before hand) and the only thing that came out was blood. I’m not really sure what else to do, and I don’t really want to go to a dr over this, but if I have to I have to. I keep seeing to switch to tampons, I can’t do that. I could, but it scares me. Because I’m too afraid of TSS. ): does anyone else have this problem as well? Or is it just me and I need to switch my pads? I noticed about 2 days before my period stopped that i had a spot that was being rubbed raw, and then this big boil popped up in that same spot! Please help!
