Labor before scheduled C-section

Baby girl is 5 days old! Tomorrow the 12th was my scheduled C-section. Missy had other plans and was born 2/6/18 4:51 pm 6lbs 14oz 18.5in @38w1d. Went to my 38 weeks appointment in pain! On the previous Saturday I went into labor and delivery with sharp pelvic pains and pressure. I had started losing my plug the day before. They checked me I was at 2cm. Same as my 37 week appointment. They hooked me up to the monitor and I was contracting ever 5-8 mins. Pain was tolerable and no more dilation within the hour so I was sent home. Contractions stayed and that night I lost a lot of my plug with bloody show! I felt defeated and miserable! I wanted her out but knew it was best to keep her baking as long as possible. Fast forward to Tuesday the day of my 38 week appointment I'm still in pain and every time I go to the bathroom there is "stuff" I was feeling like you do right before your period starts... Blah..crampy.. and moody!! My husband came with me to my appointment thank God! At my 1oclock appointment I was checked and was a loose 3cm now. The Dr. says "Do you wanna have a baby today?" I'm shocked and look at my husband like ummm yeah!!? Turns out I was in labor and my baby girl was born via C-section only hours later! She is the perfect piece to complete our Family!!
