Weaning 10m old

My son is mostly breastfed and also eating finger foods 3 times a day. He will have formula here and there but mostly bf. I am looking for tips to start weaning. I'm the only one who puts him to bed, and he usually cries for ages if my husband does it with a bottle. While I love nursing, it's doing a number on my back ( he's 28lb) and I'm desperate for a break for a night out here and there. Any suggestions for a bedtime routine transition to bottle before bed instead of boob? Or just weaning in general? (Also/ he won't take a pacifier, i'm his main source of comfort.)
