How long store bought baby food good for?

I bought a bunch of store bought baby food and some is normal and some is organic but neither says how longneck it’s good for once opened?

The pouches are usually only one day. They have so many preservatives (gross) so cans are usually longer

The Gerber containers are good for 3 days after open and must be refrigerated. That’s printed on the inside of the cardboard. I had to hunt for it.

If you are feeding out of it, it’s bad within an hour. If you are pouring it into something else and then using it, the portion that you werent using is supposed to be good for 48-72 hours. 
We make our own, and portion / freeze into one ounce feeds. Then toss whatever isnt used. But once thawed I’m not gonna use it after a day- thats me personally though. I dont like open things just sitting

Omg I used to do beechnut all the time but I got scared off after that whole big to-do in the news about Lead and Arsenic being found in like, 15-20% of jars baby food?  
Regardless of whether they are organic or not, apparently.  Beechnut was one of the ones that got sued.
Anyway I am not meaning to knock you like AT ALL, I just remember how terrible I felt when I found out about this - AFTER I had already been feeding it to my son for many months.  
I don’t know whether it was an overreaction or not- I also read that like 11% of regular food has lead in it too (from environmental pollution at farms probably).  
Soooo..... maybe we are all just fucked? Or not fucked?? Lol
But maybe a quick google search for “lead in baby food” would help avert this experience for you!
