Cough syrup method? 🤔💛

Has anyone tried the cough syrup method? heard you're supposed to take 2 spoonfuls a day the day you start your period and apparently it helps conceive. makes your lining thicker and apparently is like a slip and slide for sperm to swim to the egg. Let me know it you tried it before or want to, I'm going to try it my next cycle because at this point I'm desperate. Baby dust to all 💕

I've heard any cough syrup or medicine that is an expectorant will work (Mucinex is one). It thins out all mucus in your body, including CM. Personally, I would not do Mucinex because it makes  my mucus have a gross medicine smell.  Preseed lubricant might be more effective.

I haven’t heard about the cough syrup method but I have heard about the mucinex method. You take mucinex around your fertile window and it’s supposed to thin out your mucous and make it easier for sperm to swim. I don’t know if it works, and don’t if it’s harmful.

I personally think it's a bad idea, because then when you actually need the ingredients found in the medicine to fight off a cough or cold, you have taken it so often that it will be less effective for you. If you are having troubles, see your doctor! They can prescribe safe, over the counter medication to help ovulation, prescribe vitamins for fertility, run fertility tests on you and your husband as well! I wouldn't put your body or immune system at risk on something like this, especially if you want a baby, gotta stay healthy as possible! I'm not trying to knock you or anyone down! That's just my opinion :) best of luck!

Never heard of It! I can't see how it would help but if it's not dangerous for baby then anything's worth trying!
