One of my best friends just named her daughter “Lila”. There is pretty much general confusion among friends if it is pronounced Lila, like lilac, or Lila, like leela. I think Lilah is better, for that reason. However, people will figure it out so it isn’t a huge deal if you like the shorter spelling as well.
