Pregnancy announcement??

Question

I have a close friend who had an abortion a few years ago. I know it’s still bothering her and causing emotional problems (attempted suicide, had to quit school etc). I found out I am pregnant and wanted to tell her because she is my friend but I am not sure how she would feel. 
Any suggestions?

Tell her alone, not with other people around and don’t be hurt if her reaction isn’t what you would want. Be happy for yourself and excited but also understanding of her feelings. I bet she will be happy for you. Both of my best friends told me they were pregnant after a miscarriage through IVF. I was truly happy for them even if I was sad for myself.

Don’t text her or message her - this is personal. I’d recommend calling her or inviting her over when it’s just the two of you to share your news and invite her in as an honorary aunt or something that will help her feel special

I suggest telling her over text when she is home and not preoccupied, give her the room to react however she needs to
