Induction - how long?

Question

Wondering how long typically the hospital and doctors will let you labor (if being induced) before they do a csection?  Anxiously awaiting the arrival of my first nephew and starting to get impatient

I was 18hrs in when they told me I had one hour left before they would plan a c-section, luckily it seemed to have scared baby into finally engaging lol.

I know that once your water breaks or they break it for you they told me they wouldn’t go past 24 hours. Thankfully I gave birth 14 hours later. I had a 22 hour labor.

I refused to let them break my water (as I understand that is a major factor in being pushed to have a c section,) I was in labor for over 24 hours with no end insight yet they never discussed c section (I was in a private hospital tho and they knew I didn’t want one, so that might have been a factor) luckily tho Vs progressed fairly quickly after hour 24 and baby was born after around 25 hours

I agree it depends on the situation. 
It depends on if the mother is making any progress and dilating, how the baby is handling the labor, and also how the mother is handling it.. if she’s progressing even if its slow and everyone’s vitals remain strong they could let her labor for a couple days.. it also kind of depends on where she started. If she wasn’t dilated at all when she went in it can take even longer because they have to get the cervix to soften first.

I was in labor being induced for 56 hours before I started getting into active labor... they broke my water at 3:30am and then I started to progress... had my baby at 9:26am

they shouldn't rush to do a c section unless medically necessary

Totally depends on the situation. 
My friend was in labor for about 73hours before they ended in a csection. She was not induced though.
