... there's still hope!

please help me by answering the questions at the bottom of the post! last month AF showed 6 days late this month I'm currently 4 days late (CD 38). I used preseed this cycle and was hoping to get my BFP before Valentine's day but that didn't happen. I'm still hoping for a late Valentine's day surprise though! until AF shows I'm trying to hang on to hope! I took one hpt 4 days ago and it was BFN I'm waiting 3 more days to test again but it's so hard to wait! if I see another BFN I will be heartbroken but fingers crossed for my BFP! 7 months of trying, first month of preseed, let's hope it finally pays off!

I have a few questions though...

1. some women don't get positive tests until a week or more after their missed period should I wait for a while to test? or just test now?

2. got off the pill in July last year...my cycles have gone from 28 days long to 34+ days long and they keep getting longer. is this normal? (I had 28 day cycles before I was on the pill)
