advice on how to get kinky

i want to start getting more kinky with my boyfriend but i’m not sure yet if he’s into it. i’ve asked him to choke me and i keep hinting that i want to get more kinky. but i don’t want to do it if he doesn’t enjoy it as much as i would. any advice????
