Bruised tailbone?

I had to have emergency c section baby was too big to descend down my birth canal I pushed for 3 hours now that I'm recovering my tailbone hurts sooo bad? Could it be bruised or fractured? Anyone deal with this

Yes I cracked my tailbone during labor... she was facing my pelvis instead of my rear  (sunny side up, they call it) and I pushed for three hours while they slowly rotated her before I finally delivered. That cracked tailbone is no joke and relatively common despite the fact you rarely hear it mentioned ... the pain was pretty terrible for a few weeks, I’m not going to lie.  I had been all concerned about tearing (which I did, in several places, inside and out) but those were nothing compared to the tailbone. I’m now almost 17 weeks pp and it’s mostly healed, although still tender every once in a while. I feel like around 5 weeks postpartum the pain dulled significantly. Good luck! I sat on a boppy pillow a lot and that helped me.

I've had a bruised tailbone from basketball and it hurts...SO bad. It's probably just bruised, but it will take a long time to heal. Even if it is fractured, they can't really do anything about it.
