Bringing sick kids around immunocompromised grandparents
Would you bring your sick child (13 months old, sick for the last 6 weeks, vomiting, running nose, cough, double ear infection, fever, on antibiotics twice) around their grandfather who has stage 4 inoperable lung cancer and is on chemo?
If yes, comment what if any precautionary measures would you take?
If no, comment how long would you wait before you felt comfortable after symptoms were not visible?
*Disclaimer* before the all the best parents in the world come comment, we’ve been to the doctors several times(5), we are monitoring him closely, changing toothbrushes, lysoling the whole house on almost a daily basis, washing everything and doing everything in our power to get him better. He keeps picking up every germ at daycare. And yes, we keep him home when he is feverish and when the symptoms are bad.
