Best friend

So this is kind of rant but it just makes me so sad/mad! My best friend since kindergarten just got engaged over this past summer. I was ECSTATIC for her!!! I've known this incredible woman for over 13 years and her and her fiancé are the absolute best! Nicest couple I've ever known!

So of course she was all excited that they got engaged because they've been together 5 years now (he's a little older btw) and doing the while long distance thing because of college. Once she had a chance to tell everyone and post super cute pictures she started asking her closest friends to be her bridesmaids. She asked me to be her MOH and asked five others to be her bridesmaids. It's now February and those five girls WILL NOT give her a yes or no! They all have iPhones and so you can see that they read what she asked (she had to text it since she was on vacation, she knows it wasn't the best way to ask people over text). But have not answered her!

She grew up with most of them by going to the same church, but no answer! She's asked twice and she's so upset over it. I feel awful for her! She doesn't have anyone else to ask because she's not really close to anyone else (she's really shy). Her wedding is next fall and so she's trying really hard to get the bigger details together, but she can't get everything together without her bridesmaids.

She's tried talking to these other women during church about it, but they all change the subject. So it's pretty much a no from them, but they won't actually tell her.

Sorry this is kind of long, I just feel really upset over this. I love my best friend to death and just don't understand why these women are being so rude to her.
