Mucous plug question

I'm 37 weeks and 2 days. Already 3 cm dilated and don't know the percentage of effacement but he said my cervix was 1 cm, so probably 80-90% effaced as of Friday. This morning I thought when I wiped it was a little mucousy, kind of like the start of a period (without the brown tinge). I felt kinda weird down there not long ago so went pee and wiped and it was a little more brown. So I'm assuming I'm slowly losing my plug. My question is, if its bloody does it mean labor will come sooner than if it was just a clear mucous? Bc I know losing it doesn't mean labor is starting.
