Period with iud

I got the mirena iud inserted about a month ago. I have had light to medium spotting. My projected period was supposed to start two days ago. Since then my spotting has become lighter than before. My boyfriend and I have been using condoms and my iud hasn’t moved. I was just wondering if other mirena users have experienced this with their first period with the mirena.
