Tablets are killing toys?

I just saw this and honestly, I feel a bit ashamed and kind of sad. Is my generation of parents really allowing so much tablet and phone app time that toys are not bought as much? I can’t help but wonder if allowing your children to have their faces locked in on a screen constantly is not only taking a huge part of their childhood from them, but also killing their imagination?

I couldn’t allow my kids to be this involved in technology, and honestly, this whole “tablet-sitting” thing is just lazy parenting in my opinion. I guess we’ll see how this ends up in a few years when these kids are older and start coming into their own...
