Does it make you a bad person if you break up with your SO because they came out as trans and want to transition?

I think it depends on why. if you're simply not attracted to the sex they are transition to that is one thing. but if you break up with them because you think their like an abomination that's pretty messed up imo. you can support them with out being romantically involved. you also have to do what you feel is right, just like they are. they may not want to continue a relationship with you either

Not at all. I love my husband so much but if i was married to someone who decided they wanted to be a girl then id no longer be attracted to that person. It would feel like theyve died kinda .. that probably sounds so much worse than how i am trying to describe it.

Seems fair. If my husband told me he was a woman it wouldn’t work out for us romantically because I don’t want to be married to a woman. I don’t think that makes me a bad person.

Depends on why. If it’s because you don’t want to be in a sexual relationship with someone of that gender that’s fine. If it’s because they’re trans that’s not fine

No I don't think so. I'm not attracted sexually to women so if my SO transitioned to a woman, we just wouldn't have the chemistry anymore. What would make you a bad person would be if you cut off all ties with this person and refused to accept them as they are. Love doesn't just vanish unless you have hate. So there would be no reason not to support them still.

No. I’m not attracted to women, and I couldn’t stay in that relationship. Nothing wrong with making a decision you feel is best for you

No, I think it’s a fair response as long as you do it respectfully and you aren’t mean to them or anything just because they’re trans. If you go into a relationship with someone who is male or female it’s not unfair to think that they will most likely stay that gender through out the relationship if theyve never expressed a want or the need to be the opposite. I wouldn’t stay with my husband if he transitioned 🤷🏻‍♀️ I would stay close with him and keep our daughter a big part of his life but I’m physically and emotionally only attracted to men so I don’t see how it would work out well for us if I were to pretend to be attracted to him if he was a woman. 
You deserve a partner that can make you happy and fulfill your needs and they need a partner who can 100% accept who they are and fulfill their needs and make them happy
