Would you be offended in this situation?

I love my MIL but she has a sense of humor that can be really really insensitive and offensive at times. We told her this weekend that I’m pregnant, and prefaced everything with the fact that we’re still extremely early. As we were leaving she said “good luck with your poppy seed, just don’t loose it” and laughed hysterically.

I know I’m hormonal and really sensitive since it’s still so early that I’m scared the baby won’t stick, and I can see where she thinks she’s being funny, but it’s just really rubbed me the wrong way.

Any thoughts?

UPDATE: Thank you all! Trying to not take it personally since I know her train of thought was inconsiderate not malicious (think “oh my gosh it’s so tiny don’t misplace it” not “hope you don’t lose the baby”) and I know we’ve both had history reading into what the other one said and ending up offended. I really appreciate that I’m not the only one to find it offensive though so thank you all once again.
