super clingy baby???

my baby is almost 18 months now. He used to do really well playing alone for small periods of time. lately i can not leave the room or get anything done without him screaming like he is dying. 😑 . Anyone else experiencing this? i work from home and this is making it very difficult.

My son is having really bad separation anxiety right now. I can't even get him into his crib a good portion of the time anymore. As soon as he realizes it's bedtime, he completely panics and starts screaming. In the last week, he's freaked out over me going upstairs to brush my teeth and running to the car, even though he was being held by his Mimi. I've been told its completely normal and is just a phase. Doesn't make it any easier to deal with though 😥

Whooooo boy, yeah, my baby has been extra clingy lately. Monday he was home with me (I work from home too but he normally goes to daycare) and last week I was doing overtime while he was home and he could not leave me alone even though my SO was there. He wanted to sit on my lap but that was boring so he would pull on my pants to come play with him but I couldn’t so he cried and yelled at me. I even turned the TV on and he flipped when I left his side, chased me down and tried to pull me so I would sit and watch with him. I can’t cook dinner because he wants me to hold him, even if my SO is holding him right next to me he starts crying and losing his little mind. It’s exhausting.

Yes!! My daughter use to play very well independently and didn't usually fuss if I left the room for a few but she has been super clingy the past week. "Momma momma momma" ....all day everyday :)
