It’s called an anatomy scan
I find it really difficult to read how many people call the 20 week ultrasound a gender scan. It is an anatomy scan and it is a big deal - so many parents are staring a scary journey on this day as they learn about brain, heart, and kidney concerns. To say it is an appointment about gender feels so trivial.
