Car seat controversy

So my husband and I were talked into buying a car seat that stays in the car. No carrying handles. It’s meant for newborns up to kids a few years old. So we thought it was better money wise and my sister always talked it up. So that’s what we bought.

I keep getting a lot of judgement on how hard it will be not having a carrying car seat with a newborn and I get it. But I’ve bought other things to help out with not carrying the car seat around all the time. Baby carrier, grocery cart hammock, etc.

Any other moms make this car seat choice? I’d love to hear some of your opinions on how it works out for you and your baby.
