Traveling with baby in car seat??

I’m 35weeks FTM and have a question about transporting baby. I live in Florida where it’s already 88 degrees. I plan on carrying baby or in a wrap for most of the time but I was curious to know if most moms carry the car seat with baby most of the time to run errands or take baby out? I’m also concerned if I leave the car seat it’ll be too hot to put baby back in. What to do??

Leave the baby in the car seat when running into the grocery store and doctors appts, etc. I would always bring the car seat inside the house too and that's how I would transport the baby to the car. I didn't stop detaching the car seat and carrying the baby places until they were able to lift their heads well and sit on their own (about 6 months). When you put the car seat in a shopping cart always place on the bottom big part and not the small top part. 👍🏻

Leave the baby in the car seat. That is why infant car seats are detachable.  Taking baby in and out a lot will wake them up, make them cranky, etc. Plus it provides some protection from all the people out there who will want to touch and kiss baby. you can pull the cover or blanket down over the car seat and create a barrier from germs, sunlight, etc.

I wore my first born all the time and I took her out of the car seat if she was awake then I would put her in my wrap/carrier.  I lived in TX during summer for her first and now we are in AZ so I had the heat issue too.  I would try to park under shade and I used sun blockers on my window and put up those ugly silver dashboard ones in the front and back of our car when parked.  I would also ALWAYS check the car seat before returning baby to it.  There were times I would just sit in the front and nurse my daughter with the AC blasting upwards to help circulate and cool her seat then put her in it.
Once they get their convertible car seat you can't take it out with you so your in the same situation.  So far me it was just easier to stay consistent with my daughter.
