I CAME OUT TO MY PARENTS!!!!

This has been a stressful two year long journey. I (f16) came out as bisexual to my mom in the beginning of 2016 and it was the beginning of getting to know myself better. I was too scared to come out to my dad as I thought he would not accept me. I have heard my dad make homophobic comments before and I was convinced he wouldn't take it well. Turns out I finally had the courage and to my surprise, I came out to my dad yesterday, and he was very supportive. Although he didn't say much, he didn't act pissed or disappointed, in fact he hugged me and reassured me he would always love me and be proud of me.

Today I told him that if he had any questions he was welcome to ask, and he said he wanted to get to know my feelings better and he wanted to do a Q&A; with me and that we would have a conversation. I am so happy he is taking it so well.
