Help please

So I'm talking to this guy and we really dig each other like I'm super happy with him but his ex is still trying to be with him when he doesn't want her anymore he says that they are just friends and he's definitely over her so long story short I saw him and his ex talking yesterday and today they were close to hugging what do I do????????
