I took my daughter who's 11months to the hospital because she had the flu. They prescribed me Tamiflu, Tylenol & Ibuprofen. I just picked up her prescriptions and noticed the Tylenol said it's for 2-11 years. If they knew my daughter was younger why'd they prescribe her this? They didn't tell me how much to give her so I don't know how much, what would you say? She turns One March 15 & is 22lbs.

it says under 24mos ask a doctor. your doctor said to give it to her. and the prescription given should include the amount to give her.

The one you have is “children’s Tylenol” not “infant Tylenol”. That’s why it says to ask a doctor under age 2. With that being said, it’s the same product (children’s and infant acetaminophen is the same) so it’s okay to give to your daughter once you get your correct dosage. 
The infant Tylenol I have is the same dosage: 160mg per 5ml. 
The amount you give your baby is based on weight so you need to ask your pediatrician or pharmacist. 
For my 12 month daughter who weighs 20lbs, I give her 3.75 mL

Infant tylenol doesn’t have a dosage for under age 2 either. The only difference between children’s and infants tylenol is the size of the bottle. But as others have said, the dose is based on weight. At each of our appointments we get a visit summary printout that includes baby’s dosage based and on his weight from that appointment.

a lot of times they don't make medicines for kids that young so they will give you this and tell you to give them a smaller dose.

They stopped making the infant Tylenol (acetaminophen) several years back because it was more concentrated then the children’s formulation and people were mistakingly overdosing their kids with the stronger infant formula. Now there is only one strength for both infants and children. You are ok. We give it in the nicu, just confirm the dosage prior to giving.

Research tamiflu- just to be sure. I think it’s banned in Japan...btw i thought Tylenol was no longer prescribed for the flu since the flu is a virus and there’s no point (unless you’re using it in case of fever). Anyway i guess your doc knows best. I’m one to double check on prescriptions

Children’s and infants is same, just infant is smaller and more expensive. As long as you give correct dose, it doesn’t matter. The infant comes with the dropper which is nice. I didn’t find this out till my baby was a toddler, I wish I knew sooner!
