Painful Braxton Hicks?

Can Braxton Hicks contractions be painful? I am 31 Weeks and just started getting really bad pains about ten minutes ago. I haven’t felt any of my other BH and this is my first pregnancy so I literally have no idea if what I’m feeling is contractions. The pain comes and goes in waves. Laying on my side is the only thing helping

Yes they can be painful. If lying on your side helps then they are BH. True contractions/labor there’s nothing that helps lessen the pain or take them away

I’m 33 weeks and mine have been pretty painful. My belly tightens and I have to slow down and breathe through them most of the times. My doctor said it’s normal and to call if i have more than 6 an hour. Try to drink some water and lay down on your left side, that should help!
