Random question about names

Why do people keep their child’s name a secret the whole pregnancy? I’m just curious and by no means am i bashing anyone that does this or doesn’t but I’ve noticed a lot of people lately are keeping their child’s name a secret until they are born. Is this just something they choose to do or is there a reason?
