Correct with the sex?

Has it ever happend to anyone that in the 12th week scam the ultrasound doctor has told you that’s it’s a boy or a girl but then later on found out that it was the other sex?

At 12 weeks a highly trained tech could take an educated guess on a 3D scan but often it’s just a guess. By 15 weeks they can be sure and by 18–20 Weeks it’s highly unlikely they’d be incorrect. 
Of course boys are usually able to be guessed earlier - so if it’s a boy guess it’s less likely to be wrong than a girl guess 
In saying that my tech had an educated girly guess which was confirmed at my gender scan at 15 weeks

My OB told me it was 70% boy.. with a 3D Scan. Waiting to confirm! But I also wondered how sure it is too! Here’s a picture of my baby :)

12 weeks is way too early to see the sex on an US. The sexual organs simply haven't developed yet.
