When would you announce on social media?

We told parents, siblings and a few close friends at 8 weeks after our first ultrasound. Told everyone else at 14 weeks.

There is no certain time period where you can or cannot announce. I know a lot of people choose until either after 12 weeks or after the anatomy scan at 20 weeks. I think a lot of it is the fear of miscarriage is higher in the first trimester and it wouldn't be pleasant to announce to everyone that your miscarried - but if you don't care about that slim possibility you can do whatever you want to do. I was excited for my first baby and announced to immediate family the weekend after positive test. I told everyone else around 11 weeks when I got the blood test that told me I'd have a boy. No one will judge you for announcing early.
