I went in to be induced on Monday the 26th at 7am , started pitocin , started having contractions 2-3 mins apart steady for 12 hours straight but I was only 1cm dilated and cervix wax still not thinning at all and baby wouldnt drop .Took a break from pitocin from 9pm till 1am and started again . By 4am I was having contractions 1-2 mins apart that were very strong so they decided to stop pitocin and check cervix again ...just to find out no change at all . 9am they gave me a dose of cytotec. contractions were still about 2mins apart but now less strong . 6 hours later I was finally making progress and cervix was getting soft but still only 1cm so they gave me a second dose of cytotec. this time it kicked in immediately . i went from 1cm to 10cm in about an hour and a half . pushed for about 35 minutes and my girl arrived at 9pm on the 27th . 7lbs 14oz 20in . beautiful and healthy after 38 long hours :)
