I need help

I have always had very regular periods. They have also always been very heavy. 5 days long and I would soak through a “goodnight pad” in five hours. Six months ago I started dating someone new and BOOM. Period is completely different. Still regular but extremely light (in comparison to before). 3 days and only one requires frequent pad changes. Been to the docs and they won’t do any hormone tests as I’m still regular??? Has anyone else ever experienced this??? Please help me!!
