How to raise scare?

I just rode my score from 490 to 506 a week ago from paying 3 times the minimum payments on my credit cards and not using the cards. Anyone else know how to raise a score? 
My husband and I want to buy a small home in 2 years so we really want to know how to get this process going. Should we raise our score before we see a realtor?
I know our score is incredibly low we’re 22&23 his is 530

Yes definitely raise your score you should be in the 700s before getting a house. Apply for credit cards and use them for everything and pay them off right away. That’s the quickest way to build credit.

Car payments. Or loans that report to a credit bureau , start w small $200 loan, pay it off then ask for the money back. It’s a very hard chain to get out of though once you start. But if you can finally finish payments, and walk away from that 200 flat. at least you’ll know you can get that loan and have a good rep when you REALLY need it.
