My boyfriend says that his job is more important than any relationship because if he has no money, he won't have a house or food or anything else and apparently no one wants to date someone who doesn't have a job. I brought up that relationships comfort you if someone you love passes away, your job/money doesn't. He said that a job would allow him to have gas to pay funeral expenses, gas, etc. for that person.

I believe that relationships are more important. If you don't have people close to you, are you even living life? Also, if your relationships are true, they will help you out in time of need most of the time.

Asking because I'm curious. I think saying that a job is more important than maintaining a relationship is stupid. Why choose work over trying to make things right with someone?
